We are delighted to meet a new ASI (American Studies Institute) group (TIEC III)!
This time last year we still didn’t know we had been chosen. The good news was announced on December 30th! So, you are really lucky to have more time to get ready for this unique experience. Have a look at the previous entries and comments to know more about the first and second group of Argentinian teachers (TIEC I and II) that have already been awarded this scholarship. Feel free to use this blog to pose questions and queries or just to make comments. We would be really glad to help you out and recall the thrill and excitement of this moment.
Also, don’t forget to check out the website I created www.asi2006.com.ar to share memories, news and projects with all ASI participants from Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay. The idea is to keep in touch and strengthen bonds of cooperation among American and South American teachers.

I’m Sol, from San Nicolas, and i’m one of the teachers who will be travelling next month. Thank you Carla for this welcome, I’ve been reading some previous entries and have already found some useful information. I hope to hear more from previous and new participants.

I´m Vanessa LLanderal, from Corrientes. I travelled to Austin in July , with the second group of teachers. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience for all of us, a dream come true.
Thank you, Carla for inviting us to join this wonderful way of keeping in touch. And congratulations to the new group of teachers who are travelling this month. Just relax, and enjoy every moment. The people , the place, everything is fantastic there in Austin.
